Fort Gordon, Fort Jackson, the IRR, and the Army can blow me.

After spending two weeks at Camp Mccrady Fort Jackson we were ordered to goto Fort Fricking Gordon for another two weeks. After arival we got the "we didnt know you were coming" bull crap and now we're stuck paying for our own rooms at off base hotels. Some of us were lucky and got to stay in AIT Basic Training barracks. Yes, we are going to Iraq and they put us in AI-fing-T barracks. 

The barracks they sent us two has no running hot water, missing knobs, no toilets paper and clogged drains. They're baically screwing the IRR soldiers right up the ass. We were told "We dont have room for you, sorry." and sent on our own ways. Basically I told the Doosh-Bag E4 to find us a play to stay or "else". So yeah, he sent us to the AI-Fing-T barracks. 

So were stuck with no place to sleep, eat, shit or shower until at least Monday, by hopefully by then we'll be able to go terrorize Darling F-ing Hall at Fort Gordon to get some sort of per-diem setup.

The problem  is most soldiers are only getting base pay. At E4 thats only like $600 or so per check at a cost of $100+ per day thats a tad crazy.

Word of advice, if you get ANY mail, throw it away. Make them send that shit certified or they cant proove shit. I want to do my duty but I dont think i should be required to pay for my own shit.

IIR hits record high?

I was told by an IRR 1SG that there are an abnormally high increase in soldiers. Normally you would see 10 - 30 IRR Army soldiers coming in from various specialties and this week, Sept 7th 2008 we have 180. Thats a fairly large surge of troops. 

If you look at various reports around the Internet you can see a clear stage for an Iran Invasion, hopefully it doesn't come down to that but still, 180+ IIR and triple that for the Navy and Marine troops that are here with us?
